Origin of "Hakuja hime"
Concept
Long ago, the Tokachi area was hit by an unprecedented famine. When the indigenous peoples were suffering from lack of food, A goddess appeared with a white snake and told the people I taught them how to stave off hunger by eating the Oshorokoma that lives in Lake Shikaribetsu.It is said to have saved the lives of many indigenous people. The local performing art based on this legend is "Hakuja hime Dance."

〈About shoes〉
On Bentenjima, you will travel on gravel roads. Please avoid high heels or sandals, etc., and wear athletic shoes that are easy to move around in. This period becomes a time when water is cold, and wet skin is exposed to wind, making it easier for body temperature to drop. If it's a perfect pair of athletic shoes, it's easier to avoid that kind of wind.
〈Outer jacket, windbreaker〉
The wet body is blown away by the wind, making it easier for the body to drop in body temperature. Depending on the weather, it may feel chilly, so you will be more comfortable if you bring a windbreaker that is as thin (as smooth) as possible. -
